Intuitive Peak Experiences

All people have the potential to have a powerful intuitive visual experience which brings clarification to an issue and clears up personal confusion. Observing with an inner eye one’s own intuitive vision includes the potential to have a numinous experience with the transpersonal, spiritual, and esthetic realm. This type of personal experience produces within an individual one’s own self-revelation.  Self-revelation reveals by way of image, a sensed experience, or the arrival in consciousness of significant information for an individual which was not previously known. In my experience these types of experiences only happen one time, and that is why it is called a peak experience. It is never repeated in exactly the same way.

The Peak Experience

Once an intuitive sense perception or a peak experience occurs, it is integrated within the individual, and incorporated within the mind and body, to expand one’s individual consciousness and awareness. One cannot force or create a peak experience. It is something that is unforeseen and unpredictable. Ultimately, it transpires on its own accord.

We are given glimpses, hints, of these transcendent experiences indirectly, through intuitive vision with picture images, as if looking through a veil or screen. The transforming experience would be too much to sustain mentally, emotionally, and in the body at one time. Since light casts a shadow, looking back or backward can also be associated with the shadow part, the hidden part of ourselves that we have missed or are not paying attention to. These unknown parts of the self can break through into conscious awareness suddenly and unexpectedly like a bolt of lightning with an image that needs to be interpreted and associated with our own life experiences.
